Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of war in the philosophical and scientific tradition as a complex social phenomenon. The author considers the socio-historical and socio-cultural aspects of the war in the context of the history of the East (China) and the European social thought. The article notes that the change in attitudes to the war going on with the complex transformation of this social phenomenon.
